Sopris Intermediate Panniers are a smaller version of the Sopris Standard Panniers and are ideal for goats, alpacas, llamas, mini-donkeys/horses, donkeys, ponies and animals of similar size. Sopris Intermediate Panniers were not designed with volume in mind. However, like our larger panniers they are versatile and tough and will handle heavy loads such as small coolers with perishable food or iced drinks. Hunters often use these panniers to carry de-boned meat.

• Single-compartment panniers with draw-string top

• Each pannier measures 16 inches long x 13.5 inches high x 7 inches deep (includes draw string top)

• Total volume per pannier set is approximately 3400 cubic inches

• A set (of four) horn straps are required to use the panniers with Sopris Roughy, Sopris Classic (discontinued), or other frame-type saddles

• Pannier Stabilizing Bar can be removed to add Horn Straps or to wash panniers

• Space at the center of the Pannier Stabilizing Bar is used for the Security Strap attachment, as a carrying handle, and a load scale weighing point

• Draw string top and easy-to-adjust 1-inch quick-release buckles to secure lid

• Top lid itself can also be used to secure items (tent poles, sleeping bags, pads, etc.)

• Two detachable Stabilizing Straps on each pannier connect to the front and rear cinches to keep panniers down and stable during jumps, etc.

• Two solid brass rings toward the bottom outside of each pannier connect to the Sopris Rain Cover hooks
